The Pentax DCF HR II binoculars are a nice bright, very accurate color and very sharp on center axis. Making them an excellent birder set of glasses. I noticed that the outter 15% of the field of view (FOV)was slightly distorted, but most won’t notice that as you tend to use the center 80% of the FOV for most viewing.

I have used this set of glasses for birding, sporting events, and astronomy all with very good results. The eye pieces of these fine binoculars are excellent for eye glass wearers like me as you can see the whole FOV very nicely.

The only real Con I have against these fine glasses are they are a little heavy for a 42mm size but not unmanageable.

Over all a very good and enjoyable pair of Binoculars at a reasonable price.
